About our firm
Our history
Our firm first opened its doors in the City of Wetaskiwin in 1908 and has a long and storied history in the area. As is our firm’s tradition, we provide quality services with a personal touch to clients in central Alberta. Our vision is to position ourselves and maintain our reputation as a small-town law practice with ‘big city’ draw abilities to service our long-standing and new clients — all of whom are most valued and appreciated.
In 2010 we rebranded our business by honouring the legacy of the late Honourable Justice Douglas A. Sirrs, our former partner and friend. Whether it was acting as a solicitor, federal prosecutor or Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench, Doug always conducted himself with empathy, compassion, candor and vigor. Our team at Sirrs LLP strives to continue in this legacy of providing laser-focused client-centric legal services with a human touch.
We have since expanded our services to other central Alberta communities of Ponoka, Rimbey, and Camrose. In 2011, we acquired the long standing Wetaskiwin law practice of Vickerson & Hankinson that had previously served Wetaskiwin since 1911. In 2013, we acquired the tenured Ponoka law firm of Noble & Kidd which had been active in Ponoka and area since the mid-1900’s.
